I. To properly use an iron remover, consider the iron content in the material, iron removal requirements, operating environment, and the characteristics of the iron remover itself.
II. When the material contains a relatively high amount of iron, select a self-discharging electromagnetic or permanent magnet iron remover with continuous iron discharge capability (RCDC, RCDD, RCDF, RCYC, RCL, CFLT series).
III. When the material contains a relatively low amount of iron, opt for manually discharged electromagnetic or permanent magnet iron removers (RCDA, RCDB, RCDE, and RCY series) and appropriately lower the suspension height to facilitate iron removal.
IV. In environments with severe dust, choose fully enclosed iron removers, such as RCDB, RCDD, RCDF series electromagnetic products and RCYB, RCYD series permanent magnet products.
V. When power capacity is limited, prefer permanent magnet iron removers.
VI. When installing the iron remover at the head of a belt conveyor, the forward momentum and loose state of the material facilitate iron removal. However, the driving wheel at the bottom of the iron remover should be made of non-ferromagnetic material.
VII. When installing the iron remover in the middle of a belt conveyor (i.e., cross-arranged), install WCG series non-magnetic linear idlers under the belt to enhance iron removal efficiency.
VIII. For non-magnetic metal materials that cannot be adsorbed by electromagnets, use GJT series metal detectors for detection and manually remove them after shutdown.
IX. Iron removers have the following characteristics: they easily adsorb larger, shorter, pointed, and moving iron objects. In applications with high iron removal requirements, appropriately increase the specifications of the iron remover or adopt multi-stage iron removal.
X. When using multi-stage iron removal, the iron adsorption force of the subsequent stage should be higher than that of the previous stage; otherwise, the iron removal effect of the subsequent stage will be poor.
XI. When the material contains very few iron pieces, use CJT series metal detectors in conjunction with strongly excited self-discharging electromagnetic iron removers for energy-saving and effective iron removal.
XII. There are various methods for iron removal from magnetic materials. For complex situations, cooperate with our company's technical team to design special solutions based on the user's specific applications and environments.
The above are some basic considerations for selecting an iron remover based on our company's years of experience and the usage feedback from our customers. If you encounter any technical difficulties during the selection process, please contact our magnetic application technology R&D department, and we will work with you to resolve the issues.
