Product Introduction
The PPCS series plenum pulse bag filter is a new product introduced from Fuller Company in the United States. It combines the advantages of various bag filters, including compartment reverse air cleaning and pulse jet cleaning, while overcoming the shortcomings of insufficient cleaning intensity in compartment reverse air cleaning and the simultaneous operation of pulse jet cleaning and filtration. As a result, it expands the application range of bag filters. Due to its unique structural characteristics, this type of dust collector improves dust collection efficiency and extends the service life of the filter bags.
Structural Composition
The main structure of the PPCS series bag filter consists of four major parts: the casing, bag chamber, hopper, and inlet/outlet ducts. It is also equipped with foundation supports, ladders, handrails, access doors, a compressed air system, a cleaning control system, a dust discharge system, etc. Additionally, equipment operation monitoring systems and dust discharge conveying systems can be selected according to user requirements.
Working Principle
The PPCS plenum pulse bag filter adopts a lower inlet compartment structure. Dust-laden flue gas enters the hopper through the inlet duct. Some larger dust particles fall directly into the hopper due to inertial collision and natural sedimentation. Other dust particles rise with the airflow and enter each bag chamber, where they are filtered by the filter bags. The dust particles are retained on the outer side of the filter bags, while the purified gas enters the casing from the inside of the filter bags and is discharged into the atmosphere through the lift valve and outlet duct. The dust in the hopper is discharged periodically or continuously by a screw conveyor and a rotary feeder.
As the filtration process continues, the dust accumulated on the outer side of the filter bags increases, gradually increasing the resistance of the bag filter. When the resistance reaches a preset value, a signal is triggered for cleaning. First, the lift valve of one bag chamber is closed to cut off the filtration airflow in that chamber. Then, an electromagnetic pulse valve is opened to inject compressed air at 0.5~0.7 Pa into the chamber for a short period (0.1~0.2 seconds). The compressed air expands rapidly in the chamber, causing the filter bags to vibrate and deform at high frequencies. Combined with the reverse airflow, the dust cake on the outer side of the filter bags deforms and falls off. After full consideration is given to the dust sedimentation time (to ensure that the fallen dust can fall into the hopper), the lift valve is opened, and the bag chamber resumes filtration. Meanwhile, the next bag chamber enters the cleaning state, and so on in a cyclic manner. The PPCS plenum pulse bag filter is composed of multiple chambers, which are cleaned sequentially without interfering with each other, enabling long-term continuous operation.
